The event shuttle buses are the easiest way to access start lines and aid stations. Check out the options below!
EVENT SHUTTLE BUSES
Shuttle buses will run throughout the event to get runners to the start lines and spectators to some aid stations that are not accessible by car. Shuttle bus tickets are available to purchase online through the athlete's MyEvents account.
ATHLETE TRANSPORT
TMiler: Pre race shuttle bus transport to the start line at Firmin Field
T102: Pre race shuttle bus transport to the start line at Te Puia
T50: Pre race shuttle bus transport to the start line at Te Puia
T21: Pre race shuttle bus transport to the start line at Lake Tikitapu (Blue Lake) Reserve
Please note: limited parking is available at each start line, if you would prefer to drive.
SPECTATOR TRANSPORT
Outlet Aid Station: Cancelled due to forest fire risk.
Puarenga Aid Station: The only way for spectators/support crew to access Puarenga Aid Station is via a shuttle bus from the Waipa MTB carpark.
Okataina Aid Station: Lake Okataina Road will be closed to event traffic for the duration of the event. A shuttle bus will run from the Rotoiti Rugby Club to the aid station for spectator/support crew/pacer access.
The spectator shuttle bus is free of charge for under 5s.

Outlet Aid Station Shuttles - bus travel time is 45mins (one-way). Buses will depart every hour from 9:00am Saturday until 1:00am Sunday. The final bus will depart Outlet Aid Station at 2:30am Sunday to return to Firmin Field. "Cancelled due to increased risk of forest fires - no longer accessible to spectators"
Puarenga Aid Station Shuttles - Travel time is 5mins (one-way). The first bus will depart at 6:30am and continue on a constant loop between the Waipa MTB carpark and Planet Bike (which is a short walk from Puarenga Aid Station) until 10:45am on Saturday
Okataina Aid Station Shuttles - bus travel time is 20mins (one-way). Buses will depart every 30mins until 5:00pm Saturday. Thereafter, departures will extend to every 60mins on the hour, until 5:00am Sunday. The final bus will depart Okataina Aid Station at 6:30am Sunday to return to Rotoiti Rugby Club. Parking is available at the rugby club.
